Balla Geza

The Miniş-Măderat Vineyard in Western Romania has a reputation and history of viniculture and winemaking that dates back to the year 1023. Founded in 1999, the Balla Géza Winery is restoring the prestige of Mustoasă of Măderat, Cadarca, and of Miniş DOC.

Settled in the village of Păuliş, which was originally called “Wine Princess”, the Balla Géza Winery has managed to revive a number of local and international grape varieties. The taste of the fine wine produced in the Miniş DOC tells a passionate story of a devoted vintner – the professor, winemaker and project founder, Balla Géza.

Balla Géza Winery boasts 105 hectares of vineyards producing grapes for fresh white wines, flavorful rosé wines, red wines that recommend the place’s typicity and delightful sparkling wines.
