Licorna Winehouse. The Cellars, were reopened in 2013, but the history of the place goes back long before Licorna wines appeared. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 215 m, half way between the villages of Gura Vadului and Vadu Săpat, Prahova County, with a total of 30 hectares covered with the following grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Fetească albă, Chardonnay, Tămâioasă românească, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The focus of the winery is definitely on red wines production, but white grapes are also well represented by valuable varieties which, upon reaching the highest quality indices, are processed in French oak barrels over a longer period and under careful supervision.
Gabriel Lacureanu, well-known as the master of Feteasca Neagra, has brought the Gold of Decanter in 2018 and tamed the unicorn of the house (the winery symbol is a female unicorn).
