Alira, Grand Vin, Fetească Neagră, 2011, dry, ABV 13,9%
It is the only red wine made from a local variety and is part of French winemaker Marc Dworkin’s signature range. In the glass, the wine color is deep red garnet with a flavorful nose of raspberry and toast. After tasting it, the wine is well-balanced and full-bodied with intense aromas of prune, candied figs, vanilla, and licorice. Being matured in French oak barriques for a period of 14 months, it is recommended to decant the wine for at least one hour before consumption.
Serving temperature: 18°C (64°F).
Food pairing: grilled lamb ribs with red sauce, stew fritters from Dobrogea or with any food you like.
