Considered one of the best red wines in the Dealu Mare DOC, Davino Flamboyant may be considered liquid “alchemy” giving the thoroughness with which the wine is created. First, the grapes used are selected from the best plots, from grape vines that have an age between 37 and 40 years. The varieties used are Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), Merlot (20%) and Fetească Neagră (10%), and the wine is aged in Romanian oak barriques for a period of 10 months, and then is matured in the bottle for at least 30 months.
The wine has a deep ruby color with a nose that opens with notes of raisins, green pepper, and tobacco. The body of the wine is elegant, well-balanced with a good tannic structure and aromas of blackcurrant, mint, cinnamon, and vanilla. It is recommended to decant the wine for at least one hour before consumption.
Serving temperature: 18°C.
Food pairing: baked rabbit, duck breast in cherry sauce, venison or with any food you like.
