Crama Oprişor, Drăgaică Roşie, 2015, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir & Shiraz, dry, ABV 14%
A red blend from “Oltenia Profundă” (in En. “Profound Oltenia”), which pays homage, through symbolism and wine quality, to the Romanian traditions and terroir. Drăgaică Roşie (in En.: “Red Drăgaică”) is made of four varieties which give their own personality to the wine. Pinot Noir gives elegance and refinement, Cabernet Sauvignon brings structure and complexity, Merlot fruitiness, while Shiraz gives its spicy notes. The wine has a deep ruby color and a nose that opens with an inviting fragrance of prunes and slightly burned wood. The body is well-balanced with savory aromas of black currants, blackberries, licorice, and milk chocolate. To enjoy to the fullest a part of “Oltenia Profundă” it is recommended to decant the wine for at least 30 minutes before consumption.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C (61-64°F).
Food pairing: lamb pastrami roasted on the beam, beef sirloin, game dishes or with any food you like.
