A variety which defines both the wine regions of Drăgăşani and Oltenia, the Negru de Drăgăşani made by Avincis has a deep purple color, with a very expressive nose of violets, lilac flowers, and black currants. The wine has a medium body, along with a soft texture, medium acidity, and aromas of black cherries, blue berries, and spices. The aftertaste of the wine is medium, in which final notes of licorice and eucalyptus can be felt. It is recommended to be decanted for at least 30 minutes before consumption.
