The Colocviu range from Casa de Vinuri Cotnari, brings us one of the biggest surprises in the Romanian wine universe by choosing to make the first dry Grasă de Cotnari. For those who are not familiar with the story of this grape, this wine was, for the past 500 years, the perfect synonym for the most known sweet and aromatic white wine produced in the Cotnari DOC. The dry wine version is characterized by a pale gold color with greenish hues, and a delightful scent of forest honey and peach. The taste is rich, round and savory with aromas of ripe gooseberry, cantaloupe and lemon tart. The aftertaste is long with smooth final notes of ginger and musk.
Serving temperature: 8-10°C (46-50°F).
Food pairing: starters and appetizer, summer salads, cheeses like feta or mozzarella, pasta in white sauce, seafood, fish dishes, baked turkey or with any food you like.
